Steve Hadland is a doctor with a special interest in how our minds and bodies interact. His work with people carries over to his approach to horses as his words in the film make clear. Although he does not own a horse, he volunteers at the Morgan Horse Ranch in the Point Reyes National Seashore. In between his working hours, he rides Buckeye, a Morgan horse in the stable there. He rides Western saddle, or bareback when in the ring.
